It seems that the woe-begotten days of Tiger Woods will be following him for some more time. Apart from the premature departure from the Players Championship due to a recurring pain in the neck, a reporter from the Golf Channel made a slip-of-tongue that’s going to do the rounds for quite some time to come.
Woods took his leave because of his old pain in the neck due to a slip disk, but the pretty reporter Win McMurry’s slip (of tongue) is going to cost him some more ridicule.McMurry who handles the updates for the Golf Channel spoke from the studio about the reason why Woods had to Leave but instead of mentioning his bulging disk on the neck, she missed pronouncing a letter in the word ‘disk’, ironically which gave quite a new meaning to the cause. It’s even more embarrassing for Woods as all his worries seem to stem from the over activity that specific part of the male anatomy as we all know, thanks to all the reporting till date.
Wood is going through a slump in everything in his life. He is facing a possible chance of divorce from his beautiful wife Elin Nordegren due to his numerous extra marital misadventures. This probably is taking a toll on his career as the world’s greatest golfer as well. People are wondering why a player of his caliber who could win a US Open Championship with a broken leg and ease will have to quit simply because he has a pain in the neck, literally and rhetorically too.
The pretty reporter Win McMurry was quick enough to correct herself from the slip but one can be sure that the papers, other media and anyone who would care to listen, will not pass up such a beautiful chance for a good and hearty laugh. This faux passé is going to do the rounds of stand up comedians and bar room tables for months to come.
It’s bad enough for the great Tiger Woods as he is trying all his best to correct the wrongs he had done, get over them for good, but skeletons from his past keep turning up, now added to it due to no faults of his own is this hilarious goof-up which nobody would be able to let go for quite some time to come. One can be pretty sure that this slip about the Tiger’s slip disk by the pretty reporter is not going to slip past Elin Nordegren’s eyes.
