Chuck Wicks recently enjoyed a trip to the west coast, where he proudly represented Nashville at the Grammy Block Party for the Los Angeles chapter. Backed by the ‘Tonight Show’ Band, Chuck shared the stage with an eclectic crew of artists, including R&B crooner Raphael Saadiq, pop singer Charice and Latin group La Santa Cecilia, many of whom kept the celebrations going after the event by hitting an L.A. karaoke bar. And that, explains Chuck, is where the real excitement began.

“And then in walks Suge Knight,” Chuck writes in his blog. “Cue the exit music. My a$ was out of that bar. That guy just scares people. Don’t know him? Just Google him, you’ll see what I’m sayin’.”

So what happens when you Google Suge Knight? Well, you’ll find he’s the former CEO of Death Row Records and helped launch the careers of several of rap music’s biggest stars, such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and the late Tupac Shakur. But you’ll also find he was widely accused of being the mastermind behind the murder of rapper Biggie Smalls, a.k.a. the Notorious B.I.G. Suge, who also happened to be in the car with Tupac when he was shot and killed, has had numerous run-ins with the law, including several arrests for violence, weapons and drug-related charges.
