Chris Hemsworth has become a father.
The Avengers star and his wife Elsa Pataky welcomed a baby girl in London on Friday, according to Us Weekly.
Sources told the publication that the bundle of joy has been named India.
Hemsworth’s career has skyrocketed and he is now the star of the highestgrossing weekend box office movie ever.
He and his Spanish actress wife met in 2010 and tied the knot only threemonths after after confirming their relationship in December of that year.
Pataky told ¡Hola! magazine that she was ‘delighted and blessed’ to be sharing her life with he Australian actor, 28.
‘Having the person that you love by your side, and starting a family withthem, is the best thing that can happen to you in this life,’ the 35-year-oldFast Five star said. ‘You can’t ask for more.’
She added: ‘Since it’s our first child, we don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl, our only wish is that it’s healthy.
‘I’m only going to speak to the baby in Spanish. I already told my husband, ‘Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you’re not going to be able to understand what we say.’
The couple were seen together at the UK premiere of The Avengers Assemble in April where Chris proudly rubbed his wife’s growing belly.
Although she most likely has a model’s metabolism, the stunner swears her eating habits have gotten progressively worse throughout her pregnancy.
‘Everything healthy I used to like, I now don’t like. All of a sudden, the only things that sound good to me are all the sweets in the world, hamburgers, and french fries,’ she revealed.
‘I have never eaten popcorn, and with the pregnancy, I eat it all the time.’
Chris’ brother Liam Hemsworth, star of The Hunger Games, will be a proud new uncle.
Liam is dating pop singer and actress Miley Cyrus.
