A fast-moving wildfire has broken out in New Mexico and forced officials at the Los Alamos National Laboratory to close the site Monday as residents nearby evacuate their homes.

The fire has grown to 3,500 acres, or 5.4 miles, since it started at around 1 p.m. Sunday about 12 miles southwest of the town of Los Alamos.

Los Alamos County authorities have issued voluntary evacuation orders for both Los Alamos and White Rock.

Between 50 and 100 rural homes were under mandatory evacuations.

The laboratory, meanwhile, has activated its emergency operations center. Officials said in a news release that all radioactive and hazardous material was being protected and the fire had not yet crossed onto the laboratory property.

The government site was founded during World War II to develop the world’s first nuclear weapons.

Los Alamos National Laboratory’s contract between the University of California and the Manhattan District of the
Corps of Engineers (MED) to operate Project Y, Los Alamos Laboratory, was not signed until April 15, 1943 according to http://www.mphpa.org/classic/HISTORY/H-06c11.htm

April 15th, 1943

4 + 15 +1+9+4+3 = 36 = Los Alamos National Laboratory.  Shouldering a heavy burden.  Feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.  Pressing onward.  Heaping on responsibilities. Handling more than you are expected to handle.  Overextending oneself.  Light burden’s heavy if far borne.

6 + 26 +2+0+1+1 = 36 = the wildfire’s life lesson = Los Alamos National Laboratory.  Shouldering a heavy burden.  Feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.  Pressing onward.  Heaping on responsibilities. Handling more than you are expected to handle.  Overextending oneself.  Light burden’s heavy if far borne.

[Numerologically the life lesson number stands for what is being described.  Los Alamos National Laboratory’s contract was signed on April 15th, 1943.  4 + 15 +1+9+4+3 = 36.

So unfortunately there is synastry between this wildfire and Los Alamos National Laboratory.]
