Yesterday we reported on the sad death of Republican ex-Senator Ted Stevens in a plane crash in Alaska. The plane was headed to Agulowak Lodge on Lake Aleknagic and came down near to Dillingham. At the time we only knew that 5 people had been killed in the crash, one of whom was Ted Stevens, and that there were 4 survivors, 2 of which were Sean O’Keefe, head of plane manufacturer EADS North America division, and his son.

We have heard today that two more people who died in the crash were Dana Tindall from Anchorage, an executive at GCI, and her daughter, 16-year-old Corey Tindall. Pilot Theoren Smith and William Phillips Snr., were the other 2 people who died, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety, as reported by The Huffington Post.

Dana Tindall, 48, was the senior vice president of legal, regulatory and governmental affairs at GCE and the plane involved in the crash was owned by the company. GCI president and CEO, Ron Duncan, said, “Dana and her daughter Corey were a big part of our GCI family and we are devastated by the news of their passing.”

Dana was married to Virgil Peachey and also had a son Connor Tindall. Our thoughts are with them and the other families involved at this terrible time. For more on this go to
