The web is abuzz with emails that incude links to such sites as:

I recently received an email describing a star athlete who is alleged to have
been Nathan Kotylak* from Maple Ridge, BC the person in the above photograph and
a Star Polo player aplying for a scholarshp to the University of Calgary in
Alberta. The Canadian Polo Association has stated that they have now suspended
one indiivdual but due to “privacy” regulations they have not stated who the
person is or why.

Was there anyway to predict this calamity of events? My iReport viddeo shot a
exactly two days earlier duriung game 6 clearly shows that people were being
warned that rioting was likely to take place:

It is widely beleived that Twitter and Facebook were used by the  rioters to
target locarions for looting and destruction. They were described by Police
Chief, Jim Chu as Organized Anarchists.

Ironically it was Twitter and Facebook that also brought out thousands  of
mostly young volunteers of the same age group as the rioters the very  next day
to help with the cleanup. I witnessed the volunteers picking up pieces  of
glass, going into stores and helping to restore shelves and displays.

At least 6 people have already turned themselves into police. This number is
expected to grow as the perpetrators realize they can run but no longer hide,
with hundreds of very good quality surveilance videos and so many leads emailed
to the police that their servers crashed. The question is “Do we even have the
resources and the commitment to even go after all these criminals”?

The premier of the Province, Christy Clarke has promised swift and certain
punishment to the “fullest extend of the law”.

A special task force has been set up to handle the expected increase in
arrests. Tips continue to pour in.

However, history has not proven to work in the favour of justice in British
Columbia, in many cases underfunded courts and crowded prisons have let all but
the most heinous of crimes go unpunished.

The city has made a remarkabe come back but the emotional scars of this
disaster will likely remain forever as Vancouver charts it’s worst disaster in
