Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of MTV’s “Jackass,” died Monday in a car crash at the age of 34. Although his friends and co-stars, including Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O, made statements shortly after the news broke, Dunn’s longtime friend Bam Margera was noticeably silent.

Late Monday night, the “Viva La Bam” star broke his silence to address his friend’s death on Twitter. But the tweet wasn’t a straightforward tribute like some may have expected. Instead, Margera was defending his late friend against film critic Roger Ebert, who tweeted, “Friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.”

While the cause of accident is still being determined, many were quick to come to the conclusion that Dunn was under the influence of alcohol at the time of his death. Shortly before the crash, which also killed a passenger who is being identified by NBC Philadelphia, Dunn posted a picture of himself drinking at a bar. However, an autopsy has not been completed and DUI was not checked as a cause of the crash on the initial accident report.

Margera responded to Ebert’s comment in an irate, if not completely coherent tweet: “I just lost my best friend, I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of [expletive] roger ebert has the gall to put in his 2 cents. … About a jackass drunk driving and his is one, [expletive] you! Millions of people are crying right now, shut your fat [expletive] mouth!”

Ebert received immediate criticism about the tweet, with gossip blogger Perez Hilton declaring it “insensitive.” Ebert defended himself, later tweeting, “Perez Hilton’s readers agree with me and not with Perez about my tweet on Ryan Dunn. He drank, he drove, 2 people died.”

UPDATE: It appears that Ebert’s Facebook page is back up and running. Even though the page was only down for about an hour, it looks like the story here remains the relative ease at which upset parties can take down someone’s page.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: It looks like a couple of people upset about Roger Ebert’s comments yesterday have taken the only action they can – tattling to Facebook. It appears that the individuals have used Facebook’s page complaint mechanism and reported Ebert’s page as malicious or obscene.

Yesterday, following the death of Jackass star Ryan Dunn in a car wreck, Chicago Sun-Times critic Roger Ebert took to Twitter to express his feelings. After first saying “Ryan Dunn, RIP” Ebert attacked Dunn’s poor decision making. He tweeted that “friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.” There are multiple reports that Dunn was drinking prior to the crash. His passenger was also killed in the incident.

The comment sparked a debate across the interwebs – was it too soon? First off, was Ebert correct? Even in the wake of a tragic death, should we not forget that Dunn (allegedly) chose to drink and drive, endangering the lives of others? Many believed the comments were callous no matter what you feel about drunk driving, as Dunn has friends and family who cared about him. Others say Ebert simply spoke the truth.

Comments on an article about the incident yesterday on WebProNews suggested that most felt that Ebert’s remarks were insensitive. In defending himself, however, Ebert linked to Perez Hilton’s article on his tweet. As Ebert suggests, the majority of those commenters feel that his remark was justified and true –

Fast forward to the last hour, and Ebert tweets about his Facebook account –

He posted this picture of Facebook’s notice of his account removal –

This isn’t the first time Roger Ebert has run into Facebook trouble. Pranksters have had his Facebook page taken down before with complaints, based on opinions of Ebert’s that the didn’t like. Also, Facebook once removed his blog post detailing his jaw surgery, calling it “abusive content.” Ebert said that his blog entry had been “idiotically blocked” by Facebook.

Brandon Cole “Bam” Margera was born on September 28th, 1979 according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bam_Margera

September 28th, 1979

September 28th

9 + 28 +2+0+1+0 = 40 = his personal year (from September 28th, 2010 to September 27th, 2011) = Roger Ebert.

[Numerologically, a person’s life lesson number stands for themself.  Roger Ebert was born on June 18th, 1942.  6 + 18 +1+9+4+2 = 40 = Roger Ebert’s life lesson number.

Bam’s 40 year indicates that he will be interacting with Roger Ebert (whose life lesson number is 40).]

40 year + 5 (May) = 45 = his personal month (from May 28th, 2011 to June 27th, 2011) = Ouch.  That’s gotta hurt.  The f*** word.

[So the combination of Bam’s 40 year and 45 month indicates his actual experience.  He experienced the deep pain (45) of Ryan Dunn’s death, and he told Roger Ebert (40 (his life lesson number)) “F*** you!” (45).]

45 month + 20 (20th of the month on Monday June 20th, 2011) = 65 = his personal day = Swearing.  Cussing.

This picture was posted on Dunn’s Tumblr about two hours before the accident took place. It has since been removed from his account. April Margera confirms that Dunn is pictured on the left and his passenger Zachary Hartwell is on the far right. The man in the center has yet to be identified.

“Jackass” star Ryan Dunn was killed early Monday morning when his Porsche flew over a guardrail in West Goshen, Pa., slammed into a tree and burst into flames, according to local police.

Dunn’s passenger, 30-year-old Zachary Hartwell of West Chester, Pa., was also killed. Hartwell worked as a production assistant on the movie “Jackass Number Two” and starred in Bam Margera’s movie “Minghags.”

Dunn, 34, was identified by his tattoos, according to a witness who was on the scene when the bodies were pulled from the wreckage.

The one-car accident happened on Route 322 around 2:30 a.m., according to Officer Geiger with West Goshen police. The 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 shot through about 40 yards of trees before it hit the last one and exploded into flames, according to police. The police press release (.PDF) reads, “Preliminary investigation revealed that speed may have been a contributing factor to the accident.”

Dunn was last seen at Barnaby’s of America in West Chester in the hours before the accident.

TMZ. com is also reporting Dunn was at the bar Sunday night:

One of the friends tells TMZ … Dunn had 3 Miller Lites and 3 “girly shots” between 10:30 PM and 2:10 AM — nearly a 4 hour span — but he was “not too drunk to drive.”

Bam Margera’s mom April was the first to publicly confirm the reality TV star’s death. In an interview with NBC Philadelphia, April says she learned of the accident after getting a call from WMMR’s Preston and Steve radio show. She shared the news with the show after speaking with police.

“He’s just the sweetest guy you’d ever want to know and he would do anything for you,” April Margara said. April and her husband Phil teared up as they spoke about Dunn saying they considered him a son.

“I know the entire ‘Jackass’ family is devastated and all of West Chester is devastated,” she said.

April Margara also said Dunn was a fast driver and that she told him to slow down “everyday” following a bad accident he was involved in more than a decade ago.

“He drove too fast and I yelled at him all the time about that,” she said.

Dunn was known primarily for his dangerous antics and practical jokes in MTV’s “Jackass” series and movies with his long-time friend Bam Margera. He is a member of the CKY Crew with Margera. Dunn also co-hosted a show on the G4 network called “Proving Ground.”

Bam Margera, who is currently in Phoenix, Ariz., has not spoken publicly about Dunn’s death. His parents say he’s devastated by the news.

Dunn’s friend and former co-star Johnny Knoxville tweeted this statement:

“Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan, I love you buddy.”

MTV also released this statement via Twitter regarding the death of Ryan Dunn:

“We’re deeply saddened by the passing of a member of the MTV family, Ryan Dunn. Our hearts and thoughts are with his friends and family.”

These pictures were taken at the scene of the accident.

The #RIPRyanDunn hashtag was blowing up on Twitter and Ryan Dunn was the top trending topic Monday morning as news of his death spread. Dunn’s fans also began posting video responses to Dunn’s death to YouTube.

Each letter of the first name rules 9 years of life.  Ages 27 to 54 are ruled by the sum of the 4th, 5th, and 6th letters of the name.

Zachary Hartwell

8 (h is the 8th letter of the alphabet) + 1 (a is the 1st letter of the alphabet) + 18 (r is the 18th letter of the alphabet) = 27

So from ages twenty-seven to fifty-four he had the number 27 going on.

27 = An original.

‘Jackass’ star Ryan Dunn killed in car wreck

Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of MTV’s “Jackass” films and TV series, was killed Monday in a car wreck, close friends of his family told CNN.

Police did not immediately release details of the crash, which happened on a state highway in West Goshen, Pennsylvania early Monday.

The red-bearded Dunn, 34, was famous for his pranks and dangerous stunts on the show, which evolved into a successful film franchise.

MTV issued a short statement through its Twitter account Monday morning: “We’re deeply saddened by the passing of a member of the MTV family, Ryan Dunn. Our hearts and thoughts are with his friends and family.”

He teamed up “Jackass” co-star Steve-O for an episode of the NBC game show “Minute to Win It” that aired on June 8.

He also hosted “Proving Ground,” which premiered on the G4 channel on June 14.

A photo of Dunn was posted on his Twitter account about two hours before the wreck.
