Looking decidedly like an edgy modern dancer, Elizabeth Banks glided down the MTV red carpet with her glossy blonde hair tied tight and twisted into a high ballerina bun at the MTV Movie Awards tonight.
An otherwise severe neck to ankle black-panelled jumpsuit from the Elie Saab fall collection turned into an extremely sexy body suit when seen from the side.
The flesh-revealing side webbed panels turned The Hunger Games star’s look into one of the biggest wows on the red carpet.
Sleek: Elizabeth Banks arrived to the MTV Movie Awards in a conservative, yet very revealing black jumpsuit
The outfit was worn without cumbersome accessories, save for burgundy stud earrings, which put the accent right where it belonged – her slender silhouette.
Banks – who walked the pre-awards carpet with Hunger Games co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth’s brother and fellow actor Chris – looked as if she could easily have sprung into a pirouette.
That is, if she weren’t wearing such high stiletto heels.
Winner: Elizabeth Banks accepted the Best On-Screen Transformation award from actors Matthew McConaughey, Joey Manganiello and Channing Tatum
Up for an award for Best On-Screen Transformation against such tough competition as Johnny Depp, Rooney Mara, Michelle Williams and Colin Farrell, the What to Expect When You’re Expecting actress handily won the award.
The 38-year-old actress was visibly delighted when her name was called.
Earlier in the day, she posted a note to her twitter account about the upcoming show.
‘I’m gonna make cookie dough and sneak it into the MTV Movie Awards tonight,’ she said.
The mother of young 15-month-old son Felix was obviously joking because she arrived empty-handed.
The comedian won’t be resting on any acting laurels. She’s in the middle of juggling three other movies, including Frank or Frances, in which she’ll star with her The 40-Year-Old Virgin co-star, Steve Carrell.
