Jay Mariotti — whose brash opinions and fiery personality have made him one of the most well-known panel members on the ESPN show “Around the Horn” — was arrested overnight in the Los Angeles area after what appears to be a “domestic disturbance.”
According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, an argument began between Mariotti and his girlfriend at a club in Santa Monica, and it continued on until they arrived at the broadcaster’s apartment in Venice. From there, reports claim there was some sort of “physical altercation” before the police were called and Mariotti was arrested. He is now being held on $50,000 bail.
“Around the Horn” is a popular show in which sports columnists from around the country get together and debate a number of subjects related to the hot news of the day. In addition to being a regular on the show, Mariotti writes for Fanhouse.com.
