A 67-year-old man was killed Monday when the motor scooter he was riding collided with the back of a large construction truck in Vista, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
He was identified as Steven Lashlee, who lived with his daughter in Vista.
Lashlee was on the scooter going eastbound on South Santa Fe Avenue about 9:30 a.m. As he passed the intersection of Woodland Drive, he struck the truck and was thrown to the ground, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
He was taken to a hospital and died after arrival.
