Kiernan Shipka has grown up over the last five seasons of Mad Men, and that became very evident on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards this evening. The 12-year-old looked age-appropriate and beautiful at the event.
Shipka wore a sweet, shiny dress and minimal makeup with kitten heels at the Emmys. She accessorized (look closely at her shoulders!) with David Webb brooches made up of yellow gold, platinum, diamonds, and turquoise. Her sparkling ring was also a Webb creation and featured more gold, platinum, and diamonds. The jewels created the perfect amount of sparkle for the appearance.
It’s an exciting night for the young star, whose show could go down in history if the AMC program wins Best Drama for the fifth time in a row. Expect Shipka and her co-stars to be on the edge of their seats all evening long! Especially Jon Hamm, who is hoping to win Best Actor for the first time ever.
The 64th Annual Emmy Awards were held on Sunday, September 23 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the star-studded proceedings, while celebrated the biggest stars in television. Mad Men and American Horror Story are both up for 17 awards apiece, while fan favorite comedy Modern Family is up for 14 awards.
